Filmmaker Yuyan Wang presents her first solo exhibition in Ireland, #16161D, at The Douglas Hyde until May 25th.
Working with found footage, Wang transforms digital imagery into immersive films exploring themes of extraction, production, and waste.
The exhibition’s title references the HEX code for “intrinsic grey,” the color seen in darkness, reflecting Wang’s focus on how we process visual overload.The show features key works such as Look on the Bright Side and Green Grey Black Brown, and also new works in progress.
Wang has also invited artist Raphaël Hénard to exhibit in Gallery 2 as part of The Artist’s Eye series.
