Tillmans’ first ever solo exhibition in Ireland is truly a tentpole occasion for all the cool kids. This photographer/artist earned his stripes in the early 1990s chronicling Gen-X and rave culture. His images captured the sweaty truths of youth and freedom, often out of the public gaze. Now having just turned 50, Tillmans is truly established with shows in the likes of the Tate Modern and a major retrospective in MOMA in 2021. His varied portfolio includes working with Frank Ocean, actively campaigning against Brexit, designing for the English National Opera and AV collaborations with electronic producer Powell. In other words, he can kind of do whatever he wants. This should prove to be a popular blockbuster.
