We’re New Here is an exhibition of art from novices, enthusiasts and aficionados who have never exhibited their work publicly before. Curator Aileen Moon informs us, “One artist is currently living in direct provision, one is the daughter of a holocaust survivor, one is recovering from a brain injury, one discovered art as a way to get through being a radiographer during the thick of Covid and we have one amazing woman who moved here from India whose dentistry qualifications aren’t recognised in Ireland so she became an artist.” Proceeds from the sale of works will go to MASI (Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland).
