That January light means one thing – the return of the annual Turner Exhibition at The National Gallery.
In the heart of winter, the annual exhibition of J.M.W. Turner’s luminous watercolours is a restorative ritual for many visitors, and a newly discovered jewel for others.
This year’s display of watercolours by J.M.W. Turner will be complemented by a fascinating collection of works by over twenty artists inspired by him. With many of these watercolours having not been seen in years, this is a great opportunity to feast your eyes on work from artists such as William Leech, Evie Hone, Paul Cézanne and John Singer Sargent.
All works in this year’s display are from the Gallery’s collection, and visitors can also enjoy recent acquisitions by artists Basil Blackshaw and Kyffin Williams.
This year’s exhibition is sponsored by Sarasin & Partners.
1 – 31 January 2019 | Free admission
