Throwing Shapes, a community ceramics studio in the heart of Dublin, will be hosting its very first Ceramics Market on Saturday, October 5th from 11am to 4pm.
This unique event will bring together over 20 talented Irish potters and ceramists from across the country, offering the public a chance to discover and support local makers as they showcase and sell their handcrafted ceramics. From functional pottery to decorative pieces, there will be something for everyone at Dublin’s first ceramics market.
In addition to the talented vendors the event promises a lively atmosphere with music, food and good vibes. Visitors will also have the chance to purchase discounted ceramics from a special ‘seconds’ table, with all proceeds going to a local charity.
This market will be the first of a series, with the next event planned for a Christmas Market on December 7th. Throwing Shapes aims to create a recurring space for Irish ceramicists to connect with the public, bringing the market culture back to Newmarket every three months.
The market takes place at Throwing Shapes Studio, Mill Street, Newmarket, Dublin 8, D08W6EV on Saturday October 5th, from 11am – 4pm.
