Shorts for Choice is an evening featuring fabulous short films, live music and burlesque performances, culminating with a panel discussion – all hosted by comedian/activist, Emily O’Callaghan.
This event is BYOB; there’s no entry fee, but do bring along some sheckles if you have them, as there’s a suggested donation of €5 and fantastic raffle prizes. These include a Filmbase Training Voucher for €150, original artworks, tickets to a fantastic show at the Dublin Fringe Festival, a voucher for the Project Theatre, Swag, Literature, Goodies from First Draft Coffee and much, much more.
It’s for a great cause; all funds raised will be donated to the Abortion Support Network, an all-volunteer organisation providing accommodation and financial assistance to women forced to travel from Ireland to have a safe and legal abortion.

The Christening – Oonagh Kearney’s film tells the story of Ailbhe, a young girl who must make a very adult decision.
My Body, My Choice – Laragh McCann’s experimental piece aims to give visual representation to the suffocating imprisonment of women’s bodies under Ireland’s constitutional restriction of their reproductive rights.
Heartbreak – Dave Tynan’s IFTA-winning short film about a young Irish woman and the tough choices she must make. Written and performed by Emmet Kirwan.
