Celebrating the release of ‘Wake Up, People!’ the acclaimed new record from Dublin alternative rock outfit, Sack, this headline performance is the largest show to date since the band’s resurrection out of the Pandemic. The new album proved the five piece had not lost a step in the interim, their tuneful and hook-laden songs invested with a new maturity, and a wry energy. It has been almost a year since this writer has seen them perform, but it is one of the shows I am looking forward to the most in a very busy calendar. The Pixies fronted by Sinatra indeed, with the songwriting ingenuity of Neil Hannon to boot.
