We’re big fans and friends of photographer Sarah Doyle whose work has adorned our pages before. Her instagram account, in itself, should be shown as an example to all budding student photographers as to how best curate and develop an aesthetic. There’s bold colours, subtle tonal shifts, shadow plays and a set design consideration which elevates her work into a dreamy, seductive, space.
“I’m always engaged in a kind of exchange with the objects, they feel like characters to me. These colours, lines, light and shadow are all expressions of this world where things can be worked out and the possibilities are endless, it’s about creating your own world,” says Sarah.
Make the world go away is at Atelier Now until July 10 with a signed, limited edition, print entitled Pink Stairs available for €150. Wed – Sat, 10am – 4pm.
