26 years ago Danish photographer Krass Clement landed on Irish soil. Whilst on a residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre Annaghmakerrig in Monaghan, Clement ended up in Drum in Monaghan. Over the course of a night, he shot the photobook in a small pub in then village with a Leica and three rolls of film. A Scandinavian melancholy is evident in his work which is concerned with reflecting interior states of mind rather than with documenting real life situations. The accompaniment to this is a new body of work Dublin which was shot here. The thread of solitude is still palpable.
