Passing through en route to the Great Escape comes Blais from Vancouver. Her debut LP Below the Salt dropped in 2020 so it’s fair to say she’s playing catch up with her fanbase. (Damn Pan!). There’s lots of reasons to gush about her and her upbeat/sad indie pop musings. Nostalgia and adolescent yearnings colour her early thoughts but latest singles Coolest fucking bitch in town and Survivor’s Guilt point to new lyrical directions. A sonic hug on a Sunday night.
