Dublin based artist Geraldine Carton has spent two years creating the works for this provocative and beautiful exhibition which celebrate women and their bodies. A series of figurative nude paintings concluding with a Wall of Boobs, one hundred individual breast portraits.
“A celebration of sisterhood and imperfection, this show shines a light on a lived experience so often ignored in Irish society, that of women. In the figurative paintings we see depictions of women as refreshingly multi-dimensional – expressing anger, laughter, exhaustion and mischief. These images tell stories and all are marked with the raw vulnerability of pink, brown, black and beige flesh.”
