Acting as a new metaphor for diversity in Ireland to question received notions of what is ‘native’ and what is ‘foreign’ Crocosmia x offers a symbol for hope and a gentle reminder of the challenges and obstacles endured by those displaced by political, social and environmental issues. Working with Hallah Farhan Dawood, Ragad Farhan Dawood, Papy Kahoya Kasongo, Fatemeh Bastanalam, Mohamad Fadaie and Romeo Kibambe Kitenge Crocosmia x has cultivated this metaphor through workshops in schools, a site-specific public artwork for Grangegorman and the artwork at IMMA.
The is a free, family friendly event which includes an official opening, poetry readings and refreshments. All are welcome to join us for this celebration.
