A prolific writer on US current affairs, his most recent book Fear: Trump in the White House, proved to be a penetrating portrait of a sitting United States president in the first year of an administration.
Tonight, in the company of our most distinguished commentator Fintan O’Toole, Woodward will discuss the state of the US presidency. While this will largely entail preaching to the choir, Woodward will hopefully have some insights into whether the 23 Democratic candidates who have declared for the 2020 presidency can actually produce one capable of dethroning Trump.
