Having moved into a new studio space in the Central Hotel Chambers, the last vestige by name only of a much loved place, stalwarts of the design scene and deadly duo Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey from the Irish Design Shop are getting a chance to put the blinkers on and focus on the jewellery side of things.
Names is their gorgeous collection of geometrical wonders which are cast in Tallaght.
“We look to rock, mountain and coastal terrain for shapes and inspiration,” says Laura. “We are casting found rocks in jesmonite and highlighting areas in natural dyes. We have incorporated shapes in silver and gold to add interest or highlight a curve. These elements mirror the often geometric erosion found in the natural landscape that we discover on our hikes and rambles.”
