Vinyl8.com – May 2025

This May, Dublin Dance Festival is inviting you to experience dance in a whole new way. Alongside the incredible lineup of performances by Irish and international artists, the festival is opening up spaces for you to join in, move, and celebrate together.

From a vibrant hip hop jam with workshops and cyphers, to a euphoric club night designed for neurodivergent audiences, and DJ sets that keep the energy going long after the curtain falls – this year’s Festival is bursting with events that invite you off the sidelines and onto the dance floor.

On Saturday 17 May at Project Arts Centre, the stage is set for an exciting, high-energy afternoon that’s all about the music, good vibes and a celebration of community. Jessie Thompson (Ireland) and Erine (France) will lead participants in workshops where you’ll learn foundations of the style and ways to express yourself, focusing on freestyle, individuality and musicality. And, of course, the cyphers will be in full swing with live DJs playing all afternoon to make sure you’re grooving all day long.

Sat 17 May, 2pm – 5pm. Tickets €10. Ages 16+. BOOK NOW

This club night follows the Dublin premiere of Dance to Remember, a film by Dónal Dineen that unpicks the ties that bind us to the people and places we love.

Tickets can be purchased for the full evening of events (€22 full price / €18 conc.) including the film and DJ set, or for Backstory Dance club night only (€15 full price / €10 conc.).
