The final line-up has been revealed for what promises to be two great evening celebrations this Friday and Saturday, with after dark events taking place north and south of the Liffey as part of Dublin by Night Fest.
Dublin is set to come ‘Alive After Five’ with a series of events taking place on Friday on Drury Street, South William Street and the new venue of Central Plaza, Dame Street. The following night, it’s time for the city’s north side to shine, as events put Capel Street and Lower Mary Street at the heart of the action on Saturday night.
Music lovers can look forward to appearances from acts including acclaimed chart topping singer songwriter Soulé, 80s inspired electronic pop artist Aonair and high energy punk band The Love Buzz. There will also be much anticipated performances from singer songwriters Gavin Fox, Leila Jane, Kyla Belle and Sam Clifford.
Cookery demonstrations and market stalls from local city centre businesses will run hand in hand with an extensive food and beverage offering from some of the city’s top eateries and coffee houses. Night hawks can also look forward to checking out a wealth of street art, animation and culture, with performances by drag artists, a trad band with Irish dancers, a brass band, alongside a samba band and dancers.
Organisers have pointed out that public transport in the capital operates through night time Luas, Dart and trains. Dublin bus offers 24-hour services across 10 routes, as well as Nightlink services.
Dublin by Night Fest is jointly organised by Dublin Town, Dublin City Council, Fáilte Ireland under the Winter in Dublin programme, and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, with the support of An Garda Síochána.
