The second Blackrock Animation Film Festival takes place in the town and on the fringes of Blackrock, Co. Dublin on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October.

BAFF 2012 events include a wide range of workshops, talks and animation film screenings for all ages which should prove interesting to those working in the industry, students and those who just want to have a gander at the animation process. Check out the full programme here.

Over 140 entries were received for the Festival’s Competition from Ireland and abroad including submissions from China, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Malaysia, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and the USA. The shortlisted ones will be showcased at the Festival’s Pop up Cinema and prizes will be awarded at an awards ceremony (The BAFFAs, as it’s known locally).
