Roadmap: Scornwood by Boz Mugabe

Posted 2 days ago in Arts & Culture Features

Having worked as a visual artist for many years, Dubliner Boz Mugabe self-released his debut graphic novel, Scornwood, in February.

The darkly surreal book tells the story of three childhood friends in a rural woodland trying to navigate their lives. As the dark history and myths of the town begin to manifest through otherworldly and eerie apparitions, the three embark on a quest to fight this evil, losing their childhood innocence in the process.

The novel is a must-have for fans of Mugabe’s signature phantasmagorical and Lowbrow-inspired style.
