Serving as the gallery’s fifth wall, NightScreen at the Monster Truck Gallery features artwork for a new generation. The projector screen serves as the canvas for the 30 electronically generated works of art by artists from all over the world. The exhibit, called Astral Projection Abduction Fantasy, features selections of video and screen-based works that explore different elements of online culture. Each week touches on a different theme including colour and movement perception, gaming and spirituality via graphics. So, does this answer the age-old question: what has our generation come to? Probably not. But we’re willing to bet it’s a step in that direction.
