Recently formed theatre troupe Venom and Ducttape present their debut production AILEEN, a comedy horror parody, inspired by the movie ALIEN (1979) at Smock Alley Theatre this August. Meet the two faces of Aileen Ripley: The strong confident warrant officer and the vulnerable survivor under duress. Hear her internal monologue as the events unfold on the Nostromo. Bouncing between her fellow crew members, we witness a contentious work environment, revealing grand betrayals and unexpected liaisons. The action will shift from feats of great heroics to the controlled and fraught deposition process. Watch as she tries to save her career, her sanity and a cat.
This is an intimate and magical evening filled with screaming, running, horror, mutilation, death and more running. Watch as Aileen, armed with nothing but a flame thrower, battles with herself, the crew and a 7 foot Xenomorph!’ We can’t wait!
