New onsite and online Italian classes starting from 16th September 2024 – Enrolments now open!
If Italian language and culture have always fascinated you, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Dublin (IIC) is the right place for you!
Located in 11 Fitzwilliam Square East, a historical Georgian building in Dublin city centre, we offer onsite and online Italian classes for different levels and a timetable that can suit different learners’ needs.
Our courses are structured according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in a way that will allow you to develop listening, reading, speaking and writing skills in a structured and gradual manner. Our teachers are mother-tongue Italian graduates with extensive experience and qualifications in teaching of Italian as a foreign language.
We also offer special courses such as conversation classes for different levels (A2+, B1/B2, C1+), courses on Literature, Culture and Society and we host the Italian Book Club, dedicated to books in Italian by contemporary Italian writers.
As a student and friend of the IIC, you will have free access to our Library, and the opportunity to apply for some short-term scholarships for studying Italian in Italy.
By participating to our cultural events (mostly offered for free), you will be able to enter in contact with several aspects of Italian culture: music, cinema, theatre, literature, art, and much more.
We are also an authorized centre for CILS exams (Università per Stranieri di Siena) for the certification of Italian language proficiency, and we run exam sessions twice per year, generally in June and December.
Our sincere hope is that not only will you enjoy learning Italian but that you will partake in our cultural activities and promotion of Italian culture.
