Those unsightly light traffic control boxes, which I am told were designed to go unnoticed, have for some years now seen the benefit of Dublin Canvas.
The organization offers artists the chance to transform these necessary eyesores into unique and beautiful landmarks, presumably because like the rest of us, they were tired of being faced with the design choices of somebody who thought random green metal structures plastered in yellow warning signs were subtle.
Dublin Canvas recently concluded their submission window for 2024, which means we can look forward to fresh new art to brighten up the city, transforming it into a walking gallery.
