Doggy Valentine’s Ball at Pye

Pye Dundrum are once again doing the dog on it for Valentine’s, with their second annual Doggy Valentine’s Ball over on Dublin’s Southside.

The pawsome restaurant offers two special sittings on Valentine’s Day – the first kicks off at 7.30pm and the second at 8.30pm. The special three course dinner for two ‘hoomans’ includes a sharing vegan mezze or antipasti board for two, a choice of classic burger, grilled salmon or Caesar’s Salad, followed by a chocolate brownie for dessert.

It’s pamper time galore at the pet friendly emporium, and there’s an extra special treat in store for furry companions, who get to tuck into a special menu featuring a Barqueterie Board, including a gnawsome Beef Paw Tar Tar and Biscuits, rounded off with a bowl of Scoop’s finest Vanilla Flavoured Doggie Ice Cream. Bow! Wow! Wow!

Valentine Dining at Volpe Nera

There are still a limited number of tables left for Valentine’s week at the award winning Volpe Nera in Blackrock, and thankfully diners don’t have to be romancing to enjoy the delicious, seasonal menu on offer there.

The cosy neighbourhood restaurant is also running a special ‘dish and glass’ offer at the bar throughout the month of February, where they’ll be pairing Michelin winning chef Barry Sun’s delicious Cep Dumplings with a glass of crisp white, selected by sommelier and general manager Darren Darcy.

This winning combination can be enjoyed at the bar counter for €21 – but word to the wise – there are only two seats there, so best book to avoid disappointment. Alternative and non-alcoholic drink pairings are available on request.
