Lunchtime bargain hunters in the city centre could do worse than pay a visit to Boeuf and Coq on Suffolk Street, where a wide-ranging Tourist and Express Lunch Menu is available between 11.30am and 4pm seven days a week.
Lunch offerings at the little sister of Boeuf in South William Street include a choice of Classic Fish and Chips, Grilled Chicken and Pesto Salad, Moules-Frites, and Steak and Frites for €13.95, with complimentary still and sparking triple-filtered water also on the menu for thirsty lunchtime diners.
The newcomer prides itself on using only free-range chicken and steaks that have been dry-aged for between 28 – 35 days, served on a hot seasoned cast iron plate, with sautéed French onion croutons.
Later in the day, an even more extensive dinner menu sees mains of Boeuf, Coq, and Poisson enhanced with an enticing choice of sides, ranging from Corn on the Cob, to Crispy Bacon Potato Salad, a vast array of frites, and a comprehensive list of mash served every conceivable way possible. Black Pepper and Truffle, Classic Buttered, Pesto and Parmesan…
