Now here’s a winning combo… Yorkston is a journeyman musician who has been doing his thing with consistently understated aplomb since 2001. Persson is, perhaps, best known for being part of The Cardigans, a 1990s Swedish rock band who had a brace of chart hits. She’s pursued solo projects since then too under her own name and A Camp. Yorkston has reunited with the Second Hand Orchestra with whom he recorded The Wide, Wide River to bring us The Great White Sea Eagle. It’s a tender coupling with soars to embracing heights.
