In a Hot Press interview in 2018, Marcus O’Laoire (musician, comedian, chef, DJ and promoter) discussed the “generosity of hospitality” and “inclusive… community-focused club nights”. So in 2019, he opened Anti Social on Francis Street.
The team has “had incredible fun over the years”, as did all the customers who graced its space but the Dublin 8 haunt shuttered just after Paddy’s Day shocking most everyone. In its place comes a pink brunch-focused bar called Doll Society. Doll Society is from the same team who brought us the 90s-themed Jackies and while not much is known about the incoming venue, if you signed up for their launch on their Instagram you’ll get a free pink cocktail.
