We almost lost Scene + Heard last year. Let’s just say the Arts Council made an oversight on a funding application and have made amends. The much beloved festival of new work supports new emerging voices as they make their way up on to the stage and under the spotlight. Off the back of short blurbs, here’s a few which piqued our interest. The Last Incel which is “a comedy about a group of incels who slowly implode when a women sleeps with one of their members and crashes their zoom meeting.” (Feb 9,10), Happy Capital, Mark believes he’s found his golden goose, Cryptocurrency and he won’t let not knowing what it is or how it works affect his dream (Feb 16, 17), What is Fusion Murga?, “a flamboyant, satirical, musical comedy about Ireland’s housing crisis.” (Feb 25).
