If Italian language and culture have always fascinated you, this is the right moment to start learning Italian and the IIC Dublin is the right place for you.
We offer onsite and online 30-hour classes for different levels and a timetable that can suit different learners’ needs.
At the Italian Institute of Culture you will be able to learn Italian with mother-tongue and qualified teachers in a friendly and welcoming environment. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to enter in contact with all the aspects of Italian culture, thanks to the variegated cultural event programme that the IIC presents every month: concerts, cinema, theatre, opera, lectures, seminars, exhibitions and much more. Most of our cultural events are offered for free to the public.
As a student and friend of the IIC, you will also have free access to our library, a very useful resource to deepen your knowledge of Italian!
Our courses will help you develop listening, reading, speaking and writing skills in a structured and gradual manner. Our teachers are Italian graduates with extensive experience and special qualifications in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language. Their enthusiasm and ability is known throughout Dublin and beyond.
Our classes are structured according to the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, in a way to allow you complete a linguistic journey from A to Z in the Italian language, up to the entry level required to study in Italian universities.
We are also an authorized institution for CILS exams (on behalf of the Università per Stranieri di Siena) for the certification of Italian language proficiency.
