With the Coppinger Row lease back on the market, fans of the fabled Mediterranean eatery have been busy sending good vibes to Marc and Conor Bereen as the dynamic culinary duo bid to return to the convivial spot they called home for 13 years.
Even before his iconic Coppinger Row restaurant was shuttered for renovation by its landlord last December, Marc Bereen was making no secret of his desire to return to the city centre location where himself and his brother Conor facilitated good times for so many over the years.
Following a recent refurb, the premises has now been advertised for rent, and fans of the fabled Mediterranean eatery have been busy sending good vibes to the Bereens as they bid to return to the convivial spot they called home for thirteen years.
It is clear that these wise old heads still know more than a thing or two about what’s cooking in Dublin.
The past few months have seen them continue to dish up the goods at popular waterside haunt Charlotte Quay, while also opening a neighbourhood restaurant in Rathgar, where chef Dan Hannigan’s palate-pleasing menu has already ensured Orwell Road early entry into the Michelin Guide for 2022.
In what’s likely to be a taste of things to come, Orwell Road also bagged two gongs at at the 2022 Irish Restaurant Awards, where they were rewarded for making a big impact in a short amount of time with the best newcomer in Dublin and also Ireland. Not bad for a tiny restaurant that only opened in March.
We wish the brothers all the best in their endeavours to get back to the mothership and secure Coppinger Row for the future.
