Long-time pal of the mag Steve Ryan, who played Robin to former editor Conor Creighton’s Batman for some memorable shoots and stories in a previous decade, is expanding his food and drink footprint in London.

First he launched the 40ft Brewery in Dalston and has now added the Acme Fire Cult which promises “innovative live-fire cooking” and “something different from the usual ‘dude food’ BBQ” with chefs Andrew Clarke and Daniel Watkins at the helm.

Ryan joins the likes of Max Rocha (Café Cecilia) and Marguerite Keogh (The Five Fields) as part of a new generation making their distinctive culinary mark across the pond.
