“During Covid lockdown taking time in nature has truly been a godsend and I hope Li-ann reflects the mood of letting go, being free and present in the beautiful Killinthomas Forest.” – Laragh McCann
Photographer Laragh McCann reveals the story behind this month’s Totally Dublin Fashion Photoshoot.
“The shoot was inspired by the element Earth. I chose Li-ann to be the subject as I knew she was also interested in nature and sustaining the planet.
All the clothes are either second hand, vintage or borrowed from the incredible clothes sharing initiative ‘The Nu Wardrobe’ founded by Aisling Byrne.
Fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world, with thousands of litres of water going into making every item we wear – sharing and swapping clothes is one of the most effective and easiest things we can do to lessen our impact on the planet.
During Covid lockdown taking time in nature has truly been a godsend and I hope Li-ann reflects the mood of letting go, being free and present in the beautiful Killinthomas Forest.”
