One thing you can always be assured of is a Björk show won’t be found scrimping on spectacle or boundary-pushing technology. Her first indoor appearance in the capital in 22 years is part of her co-Cornucopia tour which promises phantasmagoric digital theatre built around Utopia, her most recent release. With Arca as music co-producer, stage direction by Lucrecia Martel, digital visuals by Tobias Gemmier and headpieces by co-creative director James Merry (see Hemlines), this promises to be an exquisite sensory feast by one of the most idiosyncratic artists of our time. Just don’t come looking for the ‘hits’ from Björk – but in true form, you’ll actually find them, courtesy of Hamrahlid, the 50-piece on-stage youth choir who are also the support act.
