It’s quite the coup for Lorcan Finnegan to see Vivarium, his second feature in competition as part of Critics’ Week (La Semaine de la Critique) at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
The tale concerns a young couple who follow a mysterious estate agent and get trapped in a strange housing development.
It stars Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots who are both in contention for the Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star Award for Best Actor or Actress. And it is nominated for the Nespresso Best Film, previous recipients of the award include Guillermo del Toro, Gaspar Noé and Alejandro González Iñarritu.
So Finnegan can count himself in good company on La Croisette.
The 2019 Cannes Film Festival takes place from May 14-25.
