It’s always a pleasure to be alerted to those who may fly under the radar on terra firma but are representing with aplomb internationally.
Take Lisa McCleary, an Irish-Australian artist, who informs us about her forthcoming show in Gallery MC in Manhattan.
The MFA graduate from Parsons works across oil paintings, tapestries and sculpture describing her practice as one which “addresses haptic sensations and the representation and embodiment of touch” creating spaces in which “desire, abjection and the digital and real body are in play.”
