This high octane coming of age story sees Kate Shanley Brennan (Miss Kate) flexing her impressive vocal chords and acting range. Walk for Me brings us on Mary Jane’s journey from ‘The Wes’ to the nightclubs of New York. With Handsome Paddy on stage mixing an ever-changing soundtrack and the bubblegum pop of arresting visuals by Johnny Brennan (Bobofunk), there’s an energy which propels this tale into the underground and back to surface so we can draw breath again.
With original compositions by Adam Fogarty (MathMan), Walk for Me hotwires our sluggish January circuit boards with lashings of sex, drugs, uppers and downers. Kate’s inventive use of her tracksuit top alone is worthy of extreme respect. On the flip side, we overheard one critic simply say: “Dublin Old School has a lot to answer for”.
