When the ever-enchanting Simone Rocha took to the stage at last spring’s OFFSET, it became quickly apparent that, for her, pausing for reflection is a seldom-relished luxury.
Rocha’s ascent into the highest echelons of London design talent has been nothing short of resolute; her recent affiliations with Dover Street Market and Moncler providing tangible proof.
Yet such accomplishments have only further solidified her links to home, with the designer’s dual heritage in Hong Kong and Ireland repeatedly surfacing in collection influences.
These iron-clad ties will be explored in the next issue of A Magazine Curated By, for which Rocha serves as guest editor and curator.
Peppered with contributors such as Mary Robinson, Richard Mosse and her design-dynasty father John, the project’s connotations are utterly personal – and with that, utterly Rocha.
