In its seventh year, the ISLA (Irish Spanish Latin American) Festival brings two universal driving forces to Dublin: love and humour. Creators and professionals from across a range of Hispanic countries such as Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Spain and Irish authors, journalists and translators will offer their points of view at Instituto Cervantes Dublin.
Author of Notes to Self Emilie Pine, Sunday Times journalist Eithne Shortall, poet-improviser Alexis Díaz-Pimienta or El País columnist Luz Sánchez-Mellado will be some of the participants at this year’s ISLA, a journey through love and humour in any time period and circumstances.
The truth within the language of love, the importance of passion, the power of love and humour as narrative forces in literature and life will be some of the themes to be discussed at the festival.
Do not miss this eclectic programme to engage, laugh, love and better live.
