Vote early, vote late, just vote.
On May 25, the Irish public will be called to vote on whether or not to repeal the 8th Amendment (also known as Article 40.3.3) to our Constitution.
Repealing the Amendment means removing it from our Constitution.
Removing the Amendment will mean removing the absolute Constitutional ban on abortion in Ireland. This won’t immediately alter the laws around abortion in the country, but it will allow the Dáil to legislate for access to abortion care for women in Ireland.
It’s a big one. Get informed and check the register to make sure you’re eligible to exercise your right to vote – you must register before May 8th.
