The Young Directors Awards aims to “find, award and nurture the best up and coming directors” and they did just that in the Sugar Club last month.
The next generation’s Lenny Abrahamson or Aisling Walsh were selected and rewarded among their peers.
Winners included Kate Dolan for her short Catcalls, Carol Freeman in animation for The Bird & The Whale (pictured) and Adrienne Dowling in the Film School category with Fishwitch.
