West Side Housing: Explore housing in the west city-centre at Open House Dublin. The Irish Architecture Foundation have got a walking tour of housing in the Coombe, rapid build housing on Mourne Road and more.

 

DOLPHIN HOUSE REGENERATION PHASE 1

Dolphin House is a Dublin City Council housing estate constructed in the 1950’s. It consists of 392 social housing and 44 senior citizen units. The project, currently on site is the first Phase of a multi-phase regeneration of the estate which entails the refurbishment of the existing apartment blocks in addition to new build units. WALKING TOUR OF THE COOMBE HOUSING

Join James Pike, principle of O’Mahony Pike Architects, on Sunday 15 October at 3.00pm for a tour of Social Housing projects in the Liberties, built in the 1970’s. Starting with Ashgrove in the Coombe and visiting Coombe South, New Street and Clanbrassil Street, this walk will visit publicly accessible areas only.

 

MOURNE ROAD – RAPID DELIVERY HOUSING

29 two storey three and four bedroom houses currently under construction as part of Dublin City Council’s rapid build programme will be open on Saturday 14 October from 11.00am – 4.00pm.

 

Open House Dublin (OHD) invites Dublin’s citizens to explore their city as when buildings not usually accessible to the public and buildings of architectural merit  open their doors over the weekend of October 13th – 15th
