POETRY IRELAND

Number 11 was built as one of the first townhouses alongside Number 10 on Dublin’s very first Georgian square, and later became the primary representation of new 20th century local democracy. It’s a prime example of Georgian splendour and late 10th century arts and crafts and is home to the magnificent Council Chamber. Open on Saturday 14 October from 11.00am – 5.00pm and Sunday 15 October from 12.00pm – 5.00pm.

ROYAL IRISH ACADEMY OF MUSIC

Number 36 Westland Row, located in the Georgian Quarter of Dublin, had been the home of the Royal Irish Academy of Music since 1871. This fine Georgian four bay house has a granite façade at ground-floor level and red brick above with granite quoins on both corners. The tall windows of the first floor have surrounds of Portland Stone. Come and see some of the original features which remain today on Saturday 14 October from 11.00am – 5.00pm.

The tours this year on Saturday 14 October from 2.30pm – 4.30pm will also include the newly renovated French Library by GKMP Architects.
