On Saturday, 16th September, homelessness charity Depaul’s annual Raft Race event will be taking place on the water. Leaving suits and ties behind, 25 teams from both the corporate world and the charity itself will be taking to the water, powering their rafts around a course in Grand Canal Dock in a series of 500m races while being cheered on by people enjoying the fun and games in a festive atmosphere on dry land.
In the biggest fundraising event of the year for Depaul, the Raft Race Against Homelessness event promises to be a great day out in the heart of the city, with entertainment for adults and kids alike, including a DJ, face painting and balloon animals, a floating football strike out competition, food and prizes in a festive atmosphere for colleagues, supporters and family.
It’s not too late to sign up! Businesses can register to take part and put forward a raft race team, at a fee of €400, by contacting Aisling Shanley on +35314537111 or aisling.shanle
