First there were cave drawings and more recently we’ve had the Mitchelstown Cave concerts under the watchful guise of the Clonmel Junction director Mary Hickson.
And now we have more creative potholing interventions with Entirely Hollow Aside From The Dark, a “a psycho-acoustic sound event” within Smuggler’s Cave by visual artist Alan James Burns.
The immersive installation aims to create a visceral experience of journeying into someone’s inner dialogue by using cutting edge 3-D audio.
Smuggler’s Cave, Portrane, Co. Dublin. Sunday Sept. 10 – Thursday Sept. 13 in conjunction with the Bleeding Pig Festival. Its also tours other caves around Ireland.
