In a calendar that’s full of festivals, one of our favourite weekends each year is the one which hosts OFFSET. The 3-day conference on all things design – graphics, animation, illustration, advertising, film, fashion, you name it – features an array of inspiring speakers drawn from both Ireland and abroad. Taking place this year on Friday 6th to Sunday 8th March in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, the festival, under the direction of Bren Byrne and Lisa Haran has drawn big hitters again, including Annie Atkins (who we interviewed last year and whose work on The Grand Budapest Hotel has contributed to that film’s array of Oscar nominations in design categories), Swedish design firm Snask and Barcelona-based Hey Design Studio.
