Phisqa means “five” in Quechua, a native Peruvian language – the word also lends itself to a collective of five Dublin-based jazz musicians from Italy, South Africa, Peru, Venezuela and Ireland. Their self-titled debut release is an eight track explorational of traditional Peruvian music mixed with contemporary jazz rhythms, vibrant, warm and adventurous.
