Bitesize: Irish Pubs in Art

Posted 1 day ago in Event Preview

January provides a welcome opportunity to spend an evening in the convivial company of Blanca Valencia and Santina Kennedy as they host a memorable and immersive dining experience in the gorgeous surroundings of The National Gallery of Ireland.

This month’s iteration of ‘Plates and Palettes’ sees the pair exploring the topic of Irish pubs through the artwork of the time while celebrating those hospitable institutions as ‘vibrant centres of social interaction, storytelling, and conviviality’.

The salubrious soiree also features a specially curated menu inspired by food and drink in historic Irish public houses down through the years. The event takes place in Lavery Room No. 5 in the gallery at 6pm on Thursday January 16th.

Tickets priced €84 are available via nationalgallery.ie
