Music From The Threshold by Myles O’Reilly

September saw visionary cinematic artist Myles O’Reilly unveil another ambient masterpiece in Music From The Threshold, written during the passing of Noah, a beloved family cat, transforming the stages of grief into beautiful sound captured perfectly in O’Reilly’s home studio, The Crow’s Nest.

In a post on Instagram, O’Reilly observed that, “Music from The Threshold is a collection that, for me, encapsulates everything I cherish about ambient music — its ability to serve as a balm for our thoughts, a canvas for daydreams, and a workout for our imagination.

It becomes most potent when we need a personal and introspective journey into what often feels unclear and unreachable: those deeply stored emotions that are difficult to access on demand but essential to experience, especially when suspended between two worlds, where nothing is defined and where past and future hold no sway.”

The beautiful cover artwork was created by fine art print artist Hilary Kinahan.
