Dublin’s iconic boozer, The Cuckoo’s Nest, is crawling back to life. Locals on the 27 and 77a buses were the first to spot construction underway and shared the good news on X.
After nearly a decade of being shuttered, construction has kicked off, much to the relief of the locals who’ve had enough of watching it gather dust.
The Mulvaney brothers, who swooped in and saved the pub from becoming yet another bland housing block in 2021, are now getting their ducks in a row after facing a pile of delays.
This Tallaght favourite, once the go-to spot for pints, footie, and all things craic, is aiming for a 2025 reopening.
