For one day only, Dubliners are invited to demonstrate true self-expression while also helping to support Childline, Ireland’s only 24/7 listening service for children and young people.
On Friday, September 13, 2024, Dublin’s Black Hat Tattoo studio is dedicating 100% of its sales to support the work carried out by ISPCC volunteers on the 24/7 Childline listening service.
Everyone is welcome to the studio, located on 11 Parnell Street in Dublin, to get some amazing new flash tattoos from the talented team of artists, who will have a range of designs prepared for the event. Doors open at 10am and additional donations can be given in-studio on the day. Those who are unable to make it to the event and still want to show their support can make a donation through the Childline idonate page.
Tara Ferguson, Studio Manager at the Black Hat Tattoo Studio, said she was happy to open the studio’s doors in support of the special fundraiser in aid of Childline.
“The work that Childline do to support and help young people in Ireland who are struggling with their mental health is and has always been monumental and we are very grateful to be in a position to help them carry this task. We will be opening our doors on Friday, September 13, to welcome customers in for a big Flash Day. We are happy to be giving 100% of our sales from the event to Childline, to help them continue all of the hard work that they do for the young people of Ireland.”
Tara says that everyone is welcome – whether experienced in getting inked or thinking about getting a first tattoo, adding, “It’s the perfect opportunity to get some amazing new flash and to support an incredibly worthy cause all at the same time.”
ISPCC needs to raise over 70% of its funding through donations each year to ensure we can be there to support children and young people 24-hours a day, 365 days of the year. The organisation relies on the generosity of the public and are grateful for all support.
Childline’s 24-hour support line can be contacted for FREE, 365 days a year 24/7. Children can chat online at childline.ie or call 1800 66 66 66.
