It’s always sad to see the shutdown of an Independent concern but a music shop closing cuts that little bit deeper.
Goodwins has been trading on Capel St as a family run musical instrument shop for almost 50 years but sales haven’t returned to required levels post Covid.
Owner Liam Carroll told us that while they did experience a slight bump when business reopened after the pandemic closures, the advent of bigger online sites has made it impossible to keep going.
They are currently selling all their stock to go, both in the shop or online.
Thank you Mr Carroll and family for the music.
Goodwins, 134 Capel St.
